Macquarie Bank

Located within the King St Wharf precinct on the CBD
edge of Darling Harbour, this iconic premium grade
commercial building was designed as Macquarie Bank’s
Sydney headquarters.

The striking structural exoskeleton was not only an
innovative design, it was a smart structural solution to
address existing on site constraints including building
above the existing basement.
The commercial lobby was elevated above street level to
provide enhanced views, while activated street frontages
offer high levels of tenant and public amenity.

The dramatic atrium space runs the entire length of the site
with column free floor plates either side. Floors are connected
via skybridges across the atrium, providing break out spaces
and meeting areas, long before “bump-in moments” became
the standard in progressive workplace design.
