Our fourth collaboration with GDI.

Designed by Forbes + Fitzharding and constructed in the mid eighties, this Perth icon required a soft touch.

The breif was to focus on the buildings address and central atrium.  Externally light touches were proposed that increased the legibility of the building entry from Adelaide Terrace. Internally changes focused on bringing warmth, visual connection and a human scale to the atrium. This was achieved by understanding the adaptability of the structure, softening the form, introducing transparency and adopting a colour and material palette that humaized the atruiums experience.
